How we can work together

My goal is to make our collaboration as seamless as possible for both of us. I aim to keep my process transparent and efficient, so you know what to expect at every step, freeing us up to focus on hitting your goals. If you have existing processes you’d like me to integrate within, we can discuss that during our discovery call.

Phase 1: Discovery and strategy

  • Initial inquiry: Once you reach out, I’ll respond within one business day. If it looks like I’m a good fit for your project, we’ll schedule a complimentary Zoom call to discuss your project in detail.
  • Proposal & agreement: After our call, I’ll send you a custom proposal based on our discussion outlining the scope of work, timeline, and investment. Once you approve, you’ll sign a contract and send a 50% deposit to get started.

Phase 2: Collaboration and writing

  • Project kickoff: Once the agreement and deposit are in place, I’ll confirm the start date and estimated completion date.
    • For short-term or small projects, we’ll start with a detailed brief to ensure we’re aligned on goals, voice, and audience.
    • For longer-term or more complicated projects, we’ll have a 30-minute virtual kickoff meeting to discuss goals, voice, audience, and more. I’ll follow up with a detailed brief for each deliverable.
  • Drafting deliverables: I will deliver the first draft of each campaign element by our agreed-upon date(s). I ask that you review them and provide feedback within five business days to keep the project on schedule.
    • I use project management software to keep us on track. You’ll have access to a project board where you can see real-time progress on each deliverable, check due dates, and communicate directly with me.

Phase 3: Edits and delivery

  • Revisions & final edits: I include two rounds of revisions in your project price. I’ll incorporate your feedback and deliver the final copy for each piece.
    • If you still require additional edits, I will do my best to accommodate them at a pre-disclosed hourly rate. Additional rounds of editing may delay your project timeline.
  • Final payment: The remaining balance for your project is due upon final approval. If we’re working together on an ongoing basis, I’ll invoice you once a month on a Net 0 payment schedule.

Other helpful information

  • I typically work in Google Suite for easy editing and collaboration, and use Trello for project management. If you have tools you’d like me to use instead, we can discuss that during our discovery call.
  • Any requests beyond the scope of our agreed-upon contract will be quoted separately. Once the additional contracts and invoices have been settled, these requests will be added to the project workflow.
  • I will lay out a project timeline based on timely feedback and collaboration. If I don’t receive the information I need within that timeline, the project may not meet its scheduled deadlines.
  • Schedule permitting, I may agree to work with you on a quick turnaround. Rush projects do incur additional fees, which we’ll discuss before signing a contract.
